New travel bans and other measures have impacted thousands of international students as countries scramble to combat the virus. Due to the fast-changing situation, it is unclear what this implies for students who desire to study abroad. As a result, carefully weighing your options is advised. The following is a list of travel restrictions by the nation in five central universities:

US on New Omicron COVID-19

Eight southern African countries have been restricted from entering the United States at this writing. Included in this group are South Africa and Botswana and Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Lesotho. On Tuesday, US officials required airlines to submit information about travelers from the eight countries within 24 hours of arrival in the country. Within one day of their departure, all flight passengers entering the government must produce a negative COVID-19 test from the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).” Even if the results come back negative, travelers should still consider putting themselves in quarantine for seven days. Within three days of arriving in the nation, visitors must provide a COVID-19 test result that is negative.

UK on New Omicron COVID-19

Only fully vaccinated Australians and visa holders are permitted entry at this time, with foreigners confined in quarantine for up to 14 days at a hotel. The uncertainty of these guidelines has resulted in the denial of admittance to some overseas students. No flights have been to or from Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, and South Africa. These countries’ citizens can not enter the United States until further notice.

New Zealand on New Omicron COVID-19
